On the beautiful Ortigia island, the ancient centre of Siracusa in Sicily, a sea view apartment overlooking the Castle of Maniace becomes a bright holiday home.
No major structural works were needed, except for the bathroom, which has been completely renovated. To eliminate the unsuitable colour of the old varnish and to create a Mediterranean mood the fixtures have been lacquered white, the beams sanded and the ceiling panels covered with white painted plasterboard. In this way the apartment has gained even more brightness. The clean, essential furnishings make the guests feel free and comfortable.
