The centre is located inside a historic factory building. Two glass swing doors separate the outside from the double-height entrance hall, that becomes unserviceable in winter, due to the heat loss outwards and upwards.
The project involves a closed, wave shaped dry wall structure that inhibits the passage of cold air towards the children’s play and sleeping rooms. Two ceiling windows will filter the skylight from the roof window.
The remaining space can easily be set up as a play area for children during the day and for yoga classes in the evening, due to the panel curtains that hide both the blackboard for drawings and a small closet, delimited by the new plasterboard structure.
